About Joshua Wentz

I started writing and recording music from my dorm room at the University of Cincinnati in 1996. My first album was a speculative soundtrack to C.S. Friedman's Coldfire Trilogy novels, a tale that the author tells here. Since that time I’ve released over twenty EPs and ten full albums, both solo and collaborative.

I’ve had the opportunity to write music and create sound design elements for several theatre groups in Chicago, as well as score a handful of documentaries, shorts, commercials and a feature film. I have also produced music for yoga and pilates, including live performances of this music at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion in Millenium Park.

I enjoy collaboration and exploring new styles, working with different parameters and constraints, and generally doing anything new and exciting with music.
